Lindley, Miller Among Western Mustangs Recruiting Class
Lindley, a six-foot, 170 lbs. defensive back, suited up this season for the Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks.
He joins 33 other recruits for next season, a recruiting class Mustangs recruiting coordinator Chris Marcus called one of the school’s stronger groups.
Miller, a 6’3″ defensive lineman played this season for Team Ontario, and was listed on Canada Football Chat’s top 100 prospects this year. Miller attended the Canada Football Prep Academy.
“I think this class is a great class. A ton of talent, but more so, great character kids from great families,” Marcus said in a school news release. “We’re really, really happy with the kids that are coming here. They come from strong academic backgrounds, so I think it’s one of our better classes.”
Lindley, who grew up playing ‘AAA’ hockey for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones and Windsor Jr. Spitfires, also played Junior C hockey this season for the Wallaceburg Lakers. He is also a Chatham-Kent Cougars alumni.
Lindley’s older brother Jake Lindley, currently plays for the University of Windsor Lancers men’s football team.
Zach Lindley and Austin Miller will now work and compete to earn a spot in Western’s lineup when their season begins August 27 against the York Lions.
