Maroons On The Brink
After winning the opening game of their GOJHL Western Conference semi-final series, the Chatham Maroons are now on the brink of elimination after dropping three straight to the London Nationals.
Goaltending and defense were sparkling points in their opening round defeat of the St. Thomas Stars, but after allowing 22 goals in the last 3 games of their series, which Chatham now trails 3-1, the Maroons will be looking to bounce back Thursday night and stave off elimination.
Chatham fell 8-2 to London Wednesday on the road to make the series 3-1 in favour of London.
Teddy McGeen and Bryce Yetman had the Chatham Maroons goals.
Brandon Glover had 4-points, including two goals to lead the London Nationals.
Chatham netminders Brendan Johnston and Lucas Patton split time in net, with Johnston allowing 6 on 36 shots and Patton allowing 2 on 8 shots.
Puck drop of game 5 will be Thursday at 7pm at Memorial Arena in Chatham.
