Pool Sharks Shine at Provincials

The Chatham Pool Sharks brought home hardware from the 2017 Ontario Spring Provincial Championships held March 2-5 in Brantford. The long course meet featured swimmers from around the province who have an Ontario Age Group Provincials time-cut.  Provincials is a notoriously really fast meet- and this one was no exception

Five Pool Sharks achieved Provincial cuts and 3 represented the Chatham Pool Sharks at the meet. Swimmers in attendance included: David Tran, Connor McFadden, and Kendra Polewski.

Overall the Pool Sharks brought home 8 medal finishes, and 11 top 8 finishes.

Top 8 results:

Connor McFadden (M 13)

  • 200 back – 6th
  • 1500 free- 8th

David Tran (M 14)

  • 100 Free- gold
  • 50 free- silver
  • 200 back – 6th

Kendra Polewski (F 16)

  • 50 Free- gold
  • 200 Free- gold
  • 100 Free- gold
  • 200 back- gold
  • 100 back- silver
  • 100 Fly- bronze

The Chatham Pool Sharks is a Division 2 Club and currently has nationally ranked swimmers on the team, as well as many provincial and regional-level qualifiers.
