Wildcats Win Contest, Headed To Toronto
The Chatham-Kent Wildcats Novice boys basketball team was one of 16 teams nationwide to be selected as winners of the Ford Drills and Skills competition.
They will now have the opportunity to take part in a skills camp at the Air Canada Centre with Toronto Raptors, and get tickets to a Toronto Raptors game.
The Wildcats were nominated due to their community involvement. This year the Wildcats have done Food Drives at games to donate to the local food banks and helped pack toys and food hampers with The Chatham-Kent Salvation Army. The team also decided to donate their practice jerseys to Hime for Help, and have participated in several other local events.
The contest was open to community voting.
