Ballhawks Golden At Provincials

Friday in Pool Play, the Ballhawks opened 6-0 defeating the Toronto Diamonds 25-6, 25-8; Vista 25-21, 25-17; and Pegasus (Kingston) 25-16, 25-11.
After Re-pooling for Saturday’s competition, the Chatham girls faced stiffer competition, defeating EVC Heat (Pickering) 25-11, 25-16, and the Guelph Jr Gryphons Black 16u 25-22, 25-19, before falling to Toronto West 16U 25-23, 17-25, 13-15.
In Sunday’s quarterfinal against the London Sharks Great Whites, the Ballhawks needed a third set to win 25-13, 23-25, 15-10. Chatham cruised to victory in the semi-final against VC Troyka (Toronto) 25-21, 25-17.
Facing the same Guelph Jr Gryphons Black 16U team they’d defeated earlier in the tournament, Chatham again came out victorious, capturing gold with scores of 25-20, 25-13.
