The Wallaceburg Red Devils won their second game this season Saturday, defeating the Elora Mohawks to improve to 2-0.

In front of 425 fans at their home opener, Wallaceburg fought to a 7-5 win over Elora.

Carter Hastings had two goals and an assist to lead the Red Devils in the win, while Vern Hill also had a pair of goals.

Also scoring for Wallaceburg were Tanner Cole, Corey Lucier, and Parker Gilhuly. Evan Mathany had a pair of assists.

Noble Jacobs stood tall in net for the Red Devils making 38 saves and earning first star honours in the win.

Wallaceburg now has more than a week to prepare for their next contest, which will be Sunday, April 30 at 4pm in Wallaceburg against division rivals the Windsor Clippers.
