Chatham’s Bridget Carleton is at camp this week, trying to crack a spot on Team Canada’s roster.

For the second straight summer, Carleton was amongst invitees for Canada’s Women’s National Team Program Assessment camp.

Carleton, who was a sophomore this season for the NCAA’s Iowa State Cyclones will compete for a spot along with 32 other athletes.

Last summer, Bridget Carleton was the youngest player invited to Canada’s camp, and was named an alternate for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The camp, which is taking place from May 12 to May 22 in Edmonton, Alberta, aims to selected a roster to attend a five-game mini tournament in France and Spain, and to begin the selection process for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Carleton stood out for Iowa State this season, earning a unanimous selection as a first-team All-Big 12 team member, averaging 15-points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.
