Kent Havoc RFC traveled to Stratford to kick off their league season against the Blackswans. Havoc started explosively, with excellent running and offloading leading to rampaging Captain Dave Buis scoring two tries in the first 20 minutes.

Unfortunately that was as good as it got for the Havoc as players tired and Stratford came back powerfully to emerge victors, 36-24. Rhys Higgins and Tyler Gawley struck for consolation tries in the second half, and Craig Arnel added two conversions.

The Havoc have a great opportunity to bounce back from this disappointing result next week with their first home game of the season, against London III. The game will kick off at 1:30 on June 3rd at John McGregor High School, the Havoc’s temporary home while their ground is repaired.

Before the Senior Men’s game, Rookie Rugby, a fun program aimed at introducing rugby to children 2-12 years old, will continue at 12:30 on June 3rd the Havoc ground at 31 Lansdowne Avenue. For more info go to www.havocrugby.com or contact Kristin Buis (kristin.ladd@lkdsb.net).
