Chatham’s Mackenzie Butzer won a pair of National Championship titles this weekend at the NCAA PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship.

The Maple City member was the individual champion, and also helped her Bethune-Cookman University to a team title.

“Today, I had the mentality of playing easy golf,” said Butzer in a Bethune-Cookman news release. “I worked extremely hard all year and my game has come together, finally.”

Butzer shot a final round 1-under-par 71 to secure her spot as division’s medalist, finishing 1-under-par for the Championship. She was nine strokes ahead of the next closest finisher, shooting a three round total of 215.
