The Wallaceburg Lakers will have a new logo and a new look next season as they look to rebuild and rebrand for the 2017-2018 PJHL Stobbs Division season.

In April, the Lakers shifted ownership from the Byrne-Laus Hockey Corporation to a community group headed by Jim McCrea. Former Lakers bench boss Joe Byrne then launched a GMHL team in Windsor, called the Windsor Aces, and took a close copy of the 2016-2017 Wallaceburg Lakers logo with them for use.

Wallaceburg’s new logo, featuring a fish biting through a stick, is part of a variety of changes the Lakers organization plans to unveil this offseason.

Last season, the Lakers finished last in the PJHL Stobbs Division with a 3-36-1 record.
