Cougars Shutout Ticats To Advance

The Cougars, who tied for first place in the regular season with a 5-0-1 record, dominated the last place Hamilton squad.
Nakoma Scott (2-yards), Jonathan Cartier (33-yards), Darion Bacik-Hadden (5-yards), and Ethan Ciupka (29-yards) ran for touchdowns during the win.
Garrette Stonefish (15-yards) and Bennet Schaffer (32-yards) caught passing touchdowns, with Jon Cartier connecting with Stonefish, and Bacik-Hadden throwing to Schaffer.
On the defensive side of the ball, Connor Wright returned a fumble 30-yards for a touchdown, and also had 2 solo tackles, 2 assists, 2 sacks, and an interception.
Cam Creechan also collected a team high 6 tackles on defense.
The Chatham-Kent Cougars advance to the OFC semi-finals, playing the Forest City Thunderbirds, Saturday at 3pm in Chatham. The winner of that game, will face off against either Brantford or Oakville in the final the following week.
