JV Cougars Into Division Final

Chatham-Kent played to a 36-2 win over Forest City.
“From a Cougars Football Club point of view, we are thrilled to have both the Bantams and JVs going deep in the playoffs,” said Cougars president Selwyn Jordan.
“It really proves we are on the correct track with our Cougar Minor House League programs and the Chatham-Kent High Schools are tracking well to getting players ready for the next level.”
Jonathan Cartier rushed the ball for four touchdowns and 171-yards on the day.
Nakoma Scott ran for 122-yards, including 6-yard touchdown run.
Tanner Hoorelbeck, Connor Wright, and Cam Creechan led the defensive team.
Hoorelbeck had 7 tackles, while Wright had 7 solo tackles and an assist, and Creechan had 5 tackles, an assist, and a sack. Evan Clark also had a strong game with three tackles, an assist, a fumble recovery, and an interception.
The Cougars will play the Brantford Bison in the final this at 1:00pm on Saturday at Brantford Gretzky/Bison Alumni. The last time the two teams met they played to a tie.
The Bantam Chatham-Kent Cougars also advanced this weekend, defeating the Oakville Titans 40-7.
