Maroons Preparing to Launch New Season

The clock is ticking down until a new season of Chatham Maroons hockey launches.

Training camp for the GOJHL team is only a few weeks away with their main camp taking place August 19-20 from 10am-3pm each day at Thames Campus Arena.

The Maroons have also lined up their exhibition schedule for the 2017-2018 preseason facing St. Thomas and Sarnia in a pair of home and home games.

Chatham will host St. Thomas August 27 at 5pm at Thames Campus Arena, before travelling to Sarnia for an August 29 contest at 7pm at Clearwater Arena.

The following night, August 30, Chatham will play St. Thomas at 7:30pm at Timken Arena in St. Thomas, before hosting Sarnia for their final tune up before the regular season Tuesday, September 5 at Memorial Arena for a 7pm puck drop.

The Chatham Maroons have several new faces on the roster including locals Austin Bentley, Nick Delyzer, Grant Spence, Eric Carter, and Dylan Schives, as well as Alixe Saliba from the Wheatley Sharks and OHL veteran Dane Johnstone.
