Stephens, Sabourin Competing At Track And Field Championships
The two day event takes place at the University of Windsor from July 14-15. Both will compete with the District ‘A’ team.
Stephens won gold in the youth girls discus event at the district meet in June. She was also the OFSAA gold medallist in Junior girls discus in June, while competing for Chatham-Kent Secondary School.
Sabourin, a teammate of Stephens’ at Chatham-Kent Secondary School, will compete in the youth girls 200m, 400m, and 400m hurdles.
At the district event, she won the 400m hurdles, and placed second in the 200m and 400m events. Sabourin competed in the OFSAA track and field championships the Junior girls 400m and 200m races, as well as the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.
