Cole, Jacobs At Lacrosse Nationals

A pair of local lacrosse players, Tanner Cole and Lucas Jacobs will suit up this weekend at the Canadian Box Lacrosse Championships in the midget boys’ division.

Both Wallaceburg products, Cole will play for Team Ontario, while Jacobs will play for Team Iroquois from August 6 to August 12 in Whitby, Ontario.

Both players suited up for the Wallaceburg Griffins midget team this season, while Cole also played with the Junior B Wallaceburg Red Devils, scoring 28 points in only 12 regular season and playoff games.

Jacobs is a netminders.

Following the opening ceremonies on August 6, Team Ontario and Tanner Cole will open their tournament August 6 at 4:45pm against British Columbia.

Jacobs and the First Nations team open the following morning at 8:30am against Saskatchewan.

    Lucas also go in a few minutes playing back-up to his big brother Noble this past season with the Red Devils. I wish both Tanner and Lucas, and their respective teams, all the best at this years’ ‘Championships’. Tanner is going to be a star in this sport and if Lucas can follow in Noble’s footsteps…he will be too. Look OUT world!!! Here comes Wallaceburg!!!
