Thamesville’s Brady Hogg won some serious hardware this weekend in Prince Edward Island. The 17-year-old won a National Fastpitch title, and was named MVP of the National Tournament.

Hogg, a catcher, participated in the tournament, which was held from August 16-20 in O’Leary, PEI, with the Ontario entry, Chepstow Lang Farms.

They defeated Ontario’s second entry 5-0 in the championship game.

Hogg hit 3 home runs, and drove in 13 runs in the tournament, finishing with an impressive .476 battling average, earning himself tournament MVP honours.

Hogg, is also an accomplished hockey player, suiting up last season for the GOJHL’s Strathroy Rockets, a year after playing in his rookie campaign for the Dresden Kings.

After the tournament completed, Brady Hogg remained in PEI for the Junior Mens Canadian National Team tryouts.
