Kings Add Three Players

The Dresden Kings announced the acquisition of a pair of Junior C experienced players for the coming season, as well as the addition of a local prospect.

Dresden acquired 20-year-old defenseman Lucas Spence of St. Mary’s.

Spence played the last two seasons with the Mitchell Hawks and Wellesley Applejacks. Last season Spence, who will attend Lambton College this year, collected 8 goals and 26 points in 28 games from the blueline.

The Kings have also acquired forward Parker Gilhuly from the Mooretown Flags.

Gilhuly, a Port Lambton product has spent the past two seasons with the Flags, scoring 11 points in 28 games last season.

Dresden also signed Chatham defenceman Nolan Ross, who played for the Kent Minor Hockey ‘AA’ Midgets last season. Prior to last season, Ross was a member of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones ‘AAA’ organization. Ross also affiliated for the Kings last season, dressing for 8 regular season games.

The Kings open training camp on Thursday, August 24, at the Dresden Arena, and camp resumes on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-3pm.
