The Blenheim Blades made short order of the Wallaceburg Lakers in a pair of exhibition games this weekend, as the Blades took 4-2 and 7-0 in PJHL preseason action.

Friday night, the Blades, featuring a rookie laden lineup, fell behind early to the Lakers. Wallaceburg took a 2-0 lead with goals from Ayden Letang and Levi Couper.

The Blades started their comeback with a goal from Malcolm Campbell. In the third period, Lucas Fancy, Ethan Paxton, and Derek Hueni scored to complete the 4-2 come from behind win.

Saturday in Walpole Island, Blenheim iced a more veteran roster, and dispelled of the Lakers with a 7-0 decision.

Michael Vanek had two goals and an assist, while Nick Delyzer had a goal and two assists to lead the way. Also scoring for the Blades were Breydon Casier, Evan Wells, Drew Marlatt, and Connor Shipton, while Malcolm Campbell, and Drew Vandehogen each chipped in with a pair of goals.

Wallaceburg goalie Kyle Koopmans faced 52 shots in the loss.
