The Blenheim Blades handed the Wallaceburg Lakers a pounding Sunday night, winning their home opener 13-1.

It was Wallaceburg’s second double-digit loss of the weekend after they fell 10-1 to Mooretown Saturday.

Christian Moccia scored a hat trick in his first career Junior game, while Nick Delyzer and Lucas Fancy each had three-point nights including two goals each.

Bryce Broad had a goal and three assists, while Derek Hueni and Ryan Malott both had a goal and two assists, and Dede Cato and Michael Vanek each chipped in with three assists.

Also scoring for the Blades were Austin Bentley, Carter Wright, and Ethan Paxton.

Blenheim is back in action Monday against the Wheatley Sharks. Wallaceburg plays Wednesday against Dresden.
