Cole MacKinnon Signed As 16-Year-Old In Petrolia
The Chatham-Kent Cyclones alumni was considered one of the top prospects on the Cyclones last season, finishing second in team scoring, and representing the team at the Alliance All-Star weekend.
Last season, MacKinnon, who is a 2001 born forward, scored 17 goals and 25 points in 31 games, before adding 5 points in 9 playoff contests.
MacKinnon adds to the large group of Cyclones players headed for Junior and Major Midget ‘AAA’ this season. Grayson Ladd tops the group headed for the OHL’s Kitchener Rangers, while Dylan Schives will skate for the GOJHL’s Chatham Maroons. At the Junior C level, Lucas Fancy (Blenheim Blades), Bailey Smith (Wallaceburg Lakers), and MacKinnon will open the PJHL season this weekend. Bryar Dittmer, Aidan Lachine, Evan Wells, and Cameron Welch will play Major Midget ‘AAA’ this season.
