Dane Fox On Fire In Germany
Thamesville’s Dane Fox is proving his scoring touch is good on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, as the 23-year-old forward got off to a hot start with the DEL’s Nurnberg Ice Tigers.
Fox, who signed with Nurnberg this offseason scored 3 goals and 3 assists in his first 3 games with Nurnberg, good for a share of second in league scoring. His totals lead the Ice Tigers.
Nurnburg was in first place, winning all four of their games.
The highlight of Fox’s early season, was a hat trick against Düsseldorf.
Fox, who spent the majority of the past three seasons in the ECHL, was the OHL’s Overage Player of the Year in 2014 before signing with the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks, and later being traded to the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Nurnberg Ice Tigers roster features 9 former NHL players, and multiple other NHL draft picks.
Chatham’s Ryan Jones also plays in the DEL for the Cologne Sharks.
