Former Outlaw McCormick Makes Laurier
“Her conditioning and strength caught my eye during combine testing and her poise and vision has shown me that she sees and thinks the game well when the speed, tempo, and pace increases,” said Laurier head coach Rick Osborne of selecting McCormack.
“Her positioning and game tactics speak very well for the Chatham Outlaws and previous coaching and training she has had. She is adapting to Olympic size rink dimensions at Laurier and we are happy to have her on our roster.”
McCormick, an Alvinston product had 4 goals and 7 points in 22 regular season games for the Midget ‘AA’ Chatham Outlaws last season. She played much of her minor hockey career in Chatham, but also played in Sarnia, and played high school hockey for Lambton-Central.
Last year, McCormick attended Ridgetown District High School.
Laurier will continue exhibition action, and practices leading up to their October 20 regular season opener against Toronto.
