Kings Sign Underager Aidan Lachine
The Dresden Kings signed 16-year-old forward Aidan Lachine of Kent Bridge as their underage player Tuesday night.
After not originally committing to an underager, the Kings added Lachine days after the season began.
Last season, Lachine was the leading scorer of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team scoring 11 goals and 27 points in 32 regular season games, before adding 7 points in 11 playoff games.
Lachine was originally committed to play for the Windsor Jr. Spitfires Major Midget program this season.
The Kings opened their season Friday night with a home opening win over the Petrolia Flyers. They’ll play the Wallaceburg Lakers Wednesday.
Lachine joins a growing list of Cyclones from last season to play Junior this season including Grayson Ladd (Kitchener, OHL), Dylan Schives (Chatham, GOJHL), Cole MacKinnon (Petrolia, PJHL), Lucas Fancy (Blenheim, PJHL), and Bailey Smith (Wallaceburg, PJHL).
