Tuck Takes Over As GOJHL Commissioner
Chatham’s Mark Tuck has been named the GOJHL’s Interim Commissioner, following the resignation of former GOJHL commissioner Chuck Williams.
“The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League would like to announce that Chuck Williams, Commissioner of the GOJHL since September 2014, has resigned from his position effective September 29, 2017 to pursue other professional opportunities,” the league said in a news bulletin.
“The GOJHL thanks Chuck Williams for his ongoing commitment to the exemplary players, team owners and dedicated fans of our highly-respected junior hockey league. Sincere gratitude and best wishes are extended to Chuck in his future pursuits. As of September 30, 2017, Mark Tuck will serve as Interim Commissioner until a new permanent Commissioner is hired for the league. Congratulations to Mark as he begins his new role with the GOJHL.”
Tuck has served in the past as the head of the GOJHL’s Western Conference, but will now oversee all league business, until a permanent replacement is named.
