Nick Delyzer had a first period hat trick, and the Blenheim Blades shut down the Wallaceburg Lakers Sunday night with a dominating 9-0 win.

Delyzer opened the scoring for the Blades, en route to a five point performance.

Blades captain Dede Cato continued his strong campaign as well, collecting two goals and two assists in the win.

Also scoring for Blenheim were Lucas Fancy, John Montgomery, Ryan Malott, and Christian Moccia.

Chris Dewulf made 15 saves for the shutout.

The game also featured a fair share of rough stuff, with the Lakers collecting 67 penalty minutes, and the Blades amassing 39 minutes of penalties

The loss drops the Wallaceburg Lakers to 1-10-0 on the season, and 0-3 under new head coach John Hartig.
