Teams from across North America converged on the shores of Lake Erie this past weekend for the Buffalo Outdoor Classic hockey tournament at the River Works outdoor hockey facility in downtown Buffalo.

The Kent Minor Midget ‘AA’ team faced a strong Guelph Gryphons team in the tournament final on Sunday and came out on top with a convincing 3-0 shutout win.

The Cobras turned in a dominant weekend performance on the way to the championship allowing only 3 total goals against in 5 games while defeating teams from as far away as Dallas, Texas and Tampa, Florida.

With an impressive team record of 19-2- 4 on the year, the Cobras will look for another tournament victory at the upcoming Silver Stick Tournament in Chatham in December and continued success throughout the playoffs.
