Defensive Woes Plague Maroons
The Maroons opened the game strong with goals from their top two scorers, Bryce Yetman and Grant Spence to go ahead 2-0, but London would quickly answer.
After tying it up in the first period, London continued to control the game early in the second, going up 4-2.
Joshua Maine scored to pull Chatham within one, but London would score another pair to lead 6-3 heading into the third period.
The third frame saw back and forth action, including Josh Supryka and Steven Fowler scoring for the Maroons en route to the loss.
The loss was also the second straight loss and shaky performance by Lucas Patton in net, who was recently returned by the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires.
He allowed 6 goals on 25 shots before Chatham replaced him with Ryan Wagner heading into the third period.
Chatham hosts St. Mary’s this Sunday.
