Dresden Jr Kings Acquire Two
A familiar face will be back on the Dresden Jr Kings blue-line, while a big body has been added to the depth chart.
Former King defenceman Brady Hogg has been re-acquired from the GOJHL’s Strathroy Rockets. From Thamesville, Hogg was Dresden’s carded 16-year-old in 2015-16. The 6’2″ and 195 pound rear-guard signed with Strathroy in 2o16 and has spent the last season and a half with the Rockets, picking up 21 points in 85 games.
The Kings have also announced the addition of Jeff Williams. Williams is a 6’4″, 223-pound forward with local roots, also acquired from Strathroy. Williams was born in Sarnia but grew up on Walpole Island. Jeff’s minor hockey was played in Wallaceburg until he was 12 and joined the AA and AAA ranks in Sarnia-Lambton. Williams spent time in the Jr B ranks with Welland before moving on to Rockets for the past two years. In 84 games at the GOJHL level, Williams has chipped in nine goals and 23 assists (32 points) while accumulating 189 penalty minutes.
