Kings Continue Rise, Blades Continue Fall

The Dresden Kings moved within two points of first overall in the PJHL’s Stobbs Division, after defeating the Blenheim Blades 7-2 Friday night.

The Blades remained at the bottom of the Stobbs Division, with their record slipping to 7-11-0-1, sitting ahead of only the Wallaceburg Lakers.

Nolan VandenBoorn and Geoffry VandenBoorn each scored twice for the Kings, and added an assist.

Brendan Johnston made 41 saves for Dresden in the win, which saw the Blades outshoot the Kings.

Jeff Williams, Noah Fox, and Will Tetzlaff also scored for the Kings, while Brantley Kuipers had three assists, and Cory Lucier chipped in with a pair of helpers.

Lucas Fancy and Dede Cato had the Blenheim goals.
