The girls basketball program at Wallaceburg District Secondary School (WDSS) has long been heralded in the area, with much thanks to Janine Day and all coaches within the program.

This year, the lady Tartans are officially back on top as the queens of the hardwood. The senior girls basketball team was crowned SWOSSAA champions on Wednesday night after a 46-26 win over Essex to claim the title.

WDSS and the team send their thanks to all of their local fans for their support.

“We have the best fans in the province” the team said via Twitter.
