Lakers Bouncing Back After Coaches Step Down
The Wallaceburg Lakers are looking for some stability.
Assistant GM Darryl Lucio says the team is hoping to get on track after more coaching changes last week.
“The last coaches stepped down for personal reasons. For the rest of the season, Ritch Kanally and I will stay behind the bench and do the coaching duties as well as the GM duties. We just have to keep some stability for the kids”, says Lucio. “When they’re working hard, we can compete with anybody – we definitely showed that against Mooretown last Wednesday night”
Lucio say fans need to keep up the faith, and understand that getting the team back on track isn’t going to happen overnight.
“It’s not going to happen in one season. We’re getting there slowly. We’ve add some really good key players – Travis Moore in net, Austin Bentley up front, two veterans from Jr. B”, explains Lucio. “We’re always looking to improve. It’s just little steps every year. It’s going to take a couple years, but we’ll get there”
Wasn’t there stability in the first coaches, and then the second coaches, and oh look the third set of coaches, looks like these guys should both get fired too, it would do the organization good!
First set of coaches fired, second coaches “let go”, it appears if we want any stability the third set of coaches (Darryl and ritch) along with the executive should be let go too! It would be the best thing for this organization.
