The Chatham Maroons dropped their second in a row, losing to the LaSalle Vipers Wednesday night on the road.

LaSalle jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first, and didn’t look back playing to a 9-4 final.

In the opening frame, Josh Maine scored a power play marker for the Maroons, with Dane Johnstone and Josh King assisting.

In the second period, Chatham got close a few times with goals from Grant Spence and Bryce Yetman, but LaSalle’s offence proved to be too much.

Yetman added his second of the game in the third period.

The loss keeps Chatham in sixth place in the GOJHL Western Conference, one point behind Sarnia, and now two points behind LaSalle with a 9-9-0-1 record.

Chatham hosts first place Leamington this Sunday.
