The Chatham Maroons have named their on ice leadership group for the 2017-2018 GOJHL season, featuring new team captain Noah Bushnell.

Bushnell brings four seasons of Major Junior experience, including three with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting, and a part season with the QMJHL’s Chicoutimi Saguenéens to the Maroons, prior to joining Chatham midway through last season.

“The Maroons players choose their leadership group for this season,” said head coach Ron Horvat following Thursday’s practice. “As an organization, we feel our Captain and Assistants will be great leaders for our club.”

Bushnell currently has 14 points in 11 games for Chatham this season.

Joining Bushnell are defenseman Dakota Bohn and Jake O’Donnell, and forward Bryce Yetman, who will serve as assistant captains.

O’Donnell and Yetman both bring multiple seasons of OHL experience to Chatham’s roster. All three players were members of the Chatham Maroons last season.
