Seven Past and Present Cyclones Named To Alliance All-Star Game
Seven past and present Chatham-Kent Cyclones players were named to the Alliance Hockey All-Star game this coming weekend.
Defenseman Craig Spence, forward Adrian Stubberfield, and goaltender Brett Brochu will represent the Minor Midget Chatham-Kent Cyclones.
The game will take place this Sunday, December 3 in Woodstock, the trio of Cyclones will compete in the two team event, with the game taking place at 11:30am.
Spence, who is one of the Cyclones’ top two OHL Draft prospects, along with fellow defender Spencer Lecot, who is not participating in the event, has 6 goals and 13-points in 20 games, sitting as one of the top scoring defenseman in the league.
The smooth skating defender has also played 3 games for the GOJHL’s Chatham Maroons this season, adding one assist.
Stubberfield leads the Cyclones in scoring this season with 7 goals and 14 points in 19 games this season.
Brochu has been one of the Alliance’s top goaltenders this season, earning a 2.34 GAA, 0.920 save percentage, and 3 shutouts.
In the Major Midget ‘AAA’ game, forwards Evan Wells and Cameron Welch of the Windsor Jr. Spitfires, defenseman Bryar Dittmer and goaltender Nolan DeKoning of the Lambton Jr. Sting will all compete.
All four played for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget team last season.
