The Wallaceburg Lakers have added to their lineup this week, acquiring Wallaceburg born Noah Labonte, who has spent the first half of the season with the Junior B Chatham Maroons.

Labonte, who had originally committed to play for Wallaceburg before signing with the Maroons, was acquired by the Lakers this week.

In 23 games for the Chatham Maroons this season, Labonte, a forward, had 4 assists.

The 2000 born forward is a product of the Chatham-Kent Cyclones ‘AAA’ organization, scoring 22 points in 33 games for the Cyclones during his Minor Midget season. He played for the Kent Cobras Major Midget ‘AA’ team last season, and also played 4 games for the Maroons as an affiliate.

In separate moves this week, the Lakers also sent Drew Fisher to the North Middlesex Stars, and Tyler McLean to the Komoka Kings.
