Blades Honour Ronny “Tuukka” Betterley
It was an emotional night for the Blenheim Blades Junior C hockey team. Playing only a day after fan and inspiration Ronny “Tuukka” Betterley passed away, the Blades donned helmet stickers in loving memory of the local 7 year old.
Ronny was a member of the South Kent Minor Hockey Association, playing on the ‘Farm Boy Strong’ Novice Tri-County League Team. Betterley, an avid hockey fan and player, was an inspiration for the Blades this season, being with the team and players on many occasions.
