Double Silver For Chatham Ballhawks Teams

The Chatham Ballahwks 14U Boys volleyball team won silver at the McGregor Cup Championship A in London last weekend, while the 16U Girls Ballhawks took silver at the Challenge Cup Championship A in Stratford.

The 14U boys lost a close deciding game in the gold medal match, falling 15-13 loss to Forest City Green, after winning the opening game 25-20.

Chatham defeated Markham Unity North (25-12, 22-25, 15-5) in the semi-finals. In pool play the Ballhawks finished 4-1, facing Hamilton Smash (25-22, 18-25, 15-10) and the St Thomas Express (25-9, 25-1), before facing Forest City Blue in the quarter finals (26-24, 25-17)

The 16U girls fell two straight to Hamilton Smash White 16U in the final (21-25, 15-25).

They advanced through the quarter finals against K-W Predators 15U Ignite (25-11, 25-22) and semi finals LVC Fire Red 16U (26-24, 25-14) after finishing a perfect 4-0 in pool play beating the Stratford Stingers (25-13, 25-12) and Cambridge Scorpions Green 15U (25-12, 25-21).
