Lavoie Wins OFSAA Gold Medal, Sets OFSAA Record

Wheatley’s Maddy Lavoie can add 2018 OFSAA gold medallist to her resume, after winning gold in the open girls’ 100m breaststroke event this week.

Lavoie, who attends Leamington District High school, and swims for the Blenheim Blast, set a new OFSAA record with her time of 1:09.22 at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre.

Lavoie is committed to swimming at the NCAA level next season with Delta State University.

She has won multiple OFSAA medals in past seasons.
