LKSSAA Playoffs This Week

Boys basketball, girls volleyball, girls and boys hockey, girls and boys curling, wrestling, and swimming will see playoff competitions, including the LKSSAA championships approaching this week.

In Junior boys basketball, Wallaceburg will face LCCVI (Petrolia) Thursday in the AA final. Saturday, Chatham-Kent will travel to play Northern for the Tier 1 final.

In senior boys, LCCVI and Wallaceburg will again play for the AA final Thursday, while UCC faces Northern in the Tier I final Saturday. The Tier 2 final will feature a pair of local teams Saturday as well, with Tilbury, Blenheim, JMSS, and Lambton-Kent in the semis.

Girls and boys girls curling both head to semi-finals this week, as do girls and boys hockey, with only the CKSS girls hockey team already into the final after receiving a bye in the ‘AAA’ league.

Friday night, the senior girls volleyball finals will feature Wallaceburg against LCCVI at the AA level, and UCC versus St. Pats at the AAA level. John McGregor will play Blenheim for the senior ‘A’ final Friday. The Junior finals Friday feature the familiar WDSS versus LCCVI at the AA level, and CKSS will play St. Pat’s at the AAA level. Blenheim will face Lambton-Kent in the ‘A’ final.
