Video Highlights: London Nationals vs. Chatham Maroons
The Chatham Maroons put the wraps on the regular season with a loss, falling 4-2 to London.
Head Coach Ron Horvat says there were a few missed cues and more penalties than he would have liked, but overall the team played a good game.
Bryce Yetman got Chatham onto the scoreboard 2:25 into the first period with a short-handed goal, and Alixe Saliba found the back of the net shortly after with an assist from Keegan MacVoy.
But London dominated the rest of the game with two goals each from Kyle Dawson and Max Vinogradov.
Ryan Wagner fended off 31 shots in the loss.
Horvat says London has a great power-play, and it’s a good lesson as the Maroons head into the post-season.
“They win a lot of games on their power play and they did tonight,” Horvat says. “We need to play disciplined against LaSalle or they’ll blind us there too.”
Chatham kicks off the Western Conference quarter-final in LaSalle Wednesday night.
