The Chatham Maroons forced game 7 in their opening round GOJHL Western Conference series, defeating the LaSalle Vipers 2-1 in game 6 on Thursday.

Dane Johnston opened the scoring for Chatham in the first period, connecting on a power play. Jordan Frasca and Dakota Bohn assisted.

LaSalle would tie things at 1-1 in the second period.

In the third, Justin Badour scored the game winner, assisted by Grant Spence and Jake O’Donnell.

Ryan Wagner was spectacular in net stopping 42 of the 43 shots he faced.

Game 7 is Sunday at LaSalle, puck drop is 7:30pm.

London, Leamington, and St. Thomas have already advanced to the next round. If Chatham were to win, they would face the London Nationals.
