Local Trio To Compete At NAHC

Kaitlyn Isaac, Cassie Whiteye, Taryn Jacobs will represent Team Ontario South at the 2018 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC) next week in Nova Scotia.

The tournament, which takes place from May 5-12 in Membertou, Nova Scotia, features the top Bantam and Midget-Aged Aboriginal hockey players from across Canada to compete in one location.

Isaac, who is committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Cornell University, skated last season with the Bluewater Jr. Hawks of the PWHL scoring 22 points in 36 games from the blueline. Isaac has one more season in the PWHL before heading to Cornell.

Taryn Jacobs spent last season skating with the Chatham Outlaws Bantam ‘A’ team, helping them to a Lower Lakes Championship.

Whiteye played for the London Devilettes Bantam ‘AA’ team last season, and will play for the PWHL’s Southwest Wildcats this year.

Another former Chatham Outlaws player, Jesse Kennedy is also on the team.
