The Wheatley Omstead Sharks will open up their Spring Mini Camp on Saturday, April 21 and Sunday, April 22 from 3:30-6:30 pm at the Leamington Kinsmen Recreation Complex.

The camp is open to all 2002 born players and older. This will be open to all players not currently playing for a junior team.

Cost to attend camp will be $55 and will include at least 2 games. Registrants can sign up on the website Spring Camp Registration link and pay via Paypal to ensure their spot in camp.

“Our goals for camp are to get a good number of players out and have a very competitive camp,” said Sharks general Manager Thomas Grubb. “We have some guys on our radar that have already signed up. We have a few holes to fill and would like to get a few of them filled after camp.”

Competition will be tight for roster spots, as the Sharks look to field a veteran roster.

“Both our goalies are eligible to come back if they don’t make a move up, and we have the majority of our D scheduled to come back with the exception of overager Antonio Ciampa and 97 born Mitch Lantin who has work commitments,” explained Grubb.

“We have some holes to fill up front with graduating players and a couple with school.”

Last season, the Wheatley Sharks finished 7th in the PJHL Stobbs Division with a 13-24-0-3 record, before being eliminated by the Dresden Kings 4-0.
