Chad Laprise Fighting This Week

Chad Laprise of Chatham will compete in the UFC Fight Night in Santiago, Chile this week, with his bout scheduled for May 19.

The 31-year-old Laprise, who enters the fight with a 14-2-0 professional MMA record, and a 6-2 UFC record, will face off against fellow welterweight Vicente Luque.

Luque of Brazil has defeated 5 of the 6 UFC fighters he has faced by knockout or submission. He enters the fight with a 12-6-1 record.

He most recently defeated Niko Price by choke in the second round of UFC Fight Night in Brazil this October.

Laprise, however, is 2-0 since moving back to the 170lbs division, and has won three straight UFC fights.

The fight will take place in Santiago, Chile, May 19 at Movistar Arena.
