The ESPC Patriotes girls hockey team won 2nd place in the Provincial Franco Hockey tournament in Ottawa last week.

Pain Court finished the tournament with a 5-1 record, with their only loss coming in the championship game, a 3-2 decision against Nouvelle Alliance of Barrie.

The Patriotes defeated Horizon (Sudbury) 3-1, Cité des Jeunes(Kapuskasing) 6-2, Piere Savard (Ottawa) 4-0, and Jean Vanier (Welland) 3-2 in pool play.

ESPC then beat Gisèle Lalonde (Orleans) in the semi-finals 3-1, before eventually falling to Nouvelle Alliance.

ESPC’s team consists of Goalie, Audrey MacKay-Barr – Forwards – Brooke Michaud, Rachel Benn, Chantelle Légère, Victoria Ashley, Olivia Hunter, Kyra VanDellan, and Danielle Lucier, – Defence – Darion MacDonald, Micah Morisette, Raine Avey, and Evelyn MacKay-Barr.

ESPC’s girls hockey team does not participate in LKSSAA competition, but annually competes in multiple tournaments including the Provincial Franco Hockey tournament.
