Teddy McGeen Makes NCAA Division I Hockey Commitment
“Humbled and excited to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey with St Lawrence University,” McGeen Tweeted Wednesday evening. “Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way.”
McGeen played this season for the OJHL’s Wellington Dukes, scoring 35 goals and 55 points in 46 regular season games.
McGeen, 20, spent the past two seasons with the Chatham Maroons, and played for the Blenheim Blades in 2014-2015.
The Wellington Dukes and McGeen had a spectacular 2018 postseason run winning the Buckland Cup as OJHL Junior A champions, and also winning the Dudley Hewitt Cup as Central Canadian Junior A champions, to advance to the National Championship RBC Cup.
A six-foot Windsor product, McGeen played his minor hockey with the Windsor Jr. Spitfires ‘AAA’ organization.
He’ll join St. Lawrence, who plays in the ECAC in Canton, New York, next season.
