The Chatham-Kent Cougars Junior Varsity football team throttled the Oakville Titans on the weekend, winning 69-6.

Chatham’s offense was almost unstoppable in the game. Ethan Ciupka scored 2 touchdowns and ran for 104 yards. Nakoma Scott scored a pair of touchdowns, one rushing one receiving.

Bennet Schaffer and Ethan Jordan each had a touchdown reception, while Tyler Shumanski had two special team TD returns.

Evan Torres threw for three touchdowns was 100% on completions going 11-for-11.

The Cougars’ played equally well on the other side of the ball, holding Oakville to only 6-points.

Tanner Hoorelbeck lead all tacklers with 12 and 2 sacks, while Trevor Lawton had 7 tackles, and Dante Handsor had 4 tackles and 3 sacks.

Brayden Charbonneau had an interception returned for 46 yards, while James Cochrane had an interveption returned for a touchdown.
