Mark Austin Pacing Series Kicks Off in Dresden

Tyler Borth stole the show as the Mark Austin Pacing Series kicked off at Dresden Raceway. 

The Ingersoll-native hit the board with all 10 drives including six wins with two seconds and two thirds.

Borth was the winning driver in all three divisions in the first leg of the Pacing Series.

Dresden’s leading reinsman opened the card of racing by driving BLUFROST BALLYKEEL to victory in 2:05.6.

He also notched wins with Grand Bay in the first division of the pacing series, followed by MYMUMASCRANKY, MICKEYS CRUISER, SAVTHELSTDANCFORME, and BLISSFULANNMARIE.

REGAL BEAGLE won the Little Saratoga “Dresden Cup,” an award for the working class horse that races week in and week out in overnights. Nick Steward was at the controls for the win in 1:59.1

Next week Dresden Raceway will celebrate Father’s Day with an open house from 9am-Noon featuring a demonstration of how to harness a horse, a blacksmith demonstration as well as a mare and foal together for the fans. The track will also be giving Dresden Raceway hats to the first 50 fathers who make their way through the turnstiles. Post time is 1:30 p.m.
