Connor Koviak, a former Maroons forward will make the jump to the NCAA next season

Former Chatham Maroons forward Connor Koviak, who played last season for the North American Hockey League’s (NAHL) Brookkings Blizzard, has committed to play NCAA D III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Koviak scored 31 points fro Brookings in 2017-2018.

“I’m excited to play for one of the top Division III Programs,” Koviak said in a news release by the Brookings Blizzard. “I loved every second of my visit to campus, and I think it will be a great college experience. The coaching staff has had a lot of success, and everyone has had good things to say about the hockey program.”

“Connor is a player that takes pride in his work ethic for practices and games. He is a solid two-way player in both ends of the ice. He has great character that was liked by everyone,” said Brookings head coach Moe Mantha in the release.

Koviak, from Canton, Michigan played for the Chatham Maroons in 2015-2016 scoring 19 goals and 51 points in 50 games.
