Grayson Ladd Competing For A Spot With Team Canada

Grayson Ladd, a defenseman with with Windsor Spitfires opens his first shot at representing Team Canada today, as he’s in attendance at Hockey Canada’s Under-18 Summer Selection Camp.

The camp, which takes place in Calgary, features 44 players vying for a roster spot at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup from August 6-11 in Alberta.

Ladd, a Kent Bridge product, will be entering his second season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Last season, after being selected 13th overall by the Kitchener Rangers, Ladd played 52 games in the league. He was traded midseason to the Windsor Spitfires where his game took off. He collected 6 assists and a plus 10 rating.
